1167-1193 Granville Street - Rezoning Approval

We’re proud to share a major milestone for our team at JTA Development Consultants. As development managers on behalf of Dee Corp, we’ve been diligently working on the proposal for a new 464-suite hotel at 1167–1193 Granville Street, at the corner of Davie and Granville.

Last night, the project received unanimous support from City Council at its public hearing — an exciting step forward for Granville Street and Downtown Vancouver.

A sincere thank you to everyone who spoke in support of the project, including Destination Vancouver and Downtown Van, and to City Council for their leadership. The City’s new hotel policies encouraging additional event and amenity spaces along with the long-term vision to revitalize Granville Street, are critical to creating a safer, more welcoming, and vibrant entertainment district. Without this thoughtful policy work and support, projects like this would not be possible.

We’re also grateful to MCM Architects for their collaborative approach and innovative design, and for working closely with all stakeholders throughout the process.

We’re excited to see this vision move forward and contribute to the continued evolution of Granville Street.
